Welcome to Cornhill Kindergarten. We are registered with OFSTED for children from the age of birth to 8 years. We undergo regular inspections by Ofsted. Our most recent inspection was January 2022 and we received another ‘OUTSTANDING’ outcome for our provision and were outstanding in all areas. At our previous inspection in 2013 we were also graded Outstanding in all areas.
Cornhill Kindergarten was opened over 30 years ago, with the current three Directors taking ownership in 2004. Alex Westrup (NNEB) now retired, Sacha Seabrook BA(Hons) and EYP, and Zoe Lomas (Early Years Foundation Degree).
The Nursery is set in the leafy borough of Urmston, close to the heart of the town and operates from two formally detached houses. The Nursery rooms are spacious, welcoming and stimulating, with each room allowing lots of natural light and an abundance of resources and equipment.
We provide a happy and secure environment, where your child will be cared for, nurtured and provided with the tools and knowledge to thrive and to prepare them for their future success.
The Nursery gardens are really something to behold, with many different natural landscapes, a vegetable garden, soft surface areas, climbing equipment and areas of unique interest to be explored.
